Agility
The look on Glider's face says it all - she loves agility! Glider loves agility, is fearless, and is a blast to train. She is incredibly enthusiastic, is very focused, and she loves a challenge. She absolutely loves tunnels and it's hard to keep her out of them. Glider loves agility so much that she gets really upset when another dog is working as she always thinks she can do it better and it should be her turn. I started foundation agility training with Glider as soon as all of her littermates went to their new homes. Glider made her agility debut at a trial on August 8, 2009 where she ran in novice jumpers with weaves. She was very fast and focused on her job. While we didn't qualify on that run, it was incredibly fun and she shows great promise. At only her second full agility trial, Glider earned her first novice jumpers with weaves leg. She earned her 3rd novice jumpers with weaves leg and her NAJ title on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the Talbot agility trail. Glider earned her open JWW title on January 30, 2010 in a beautiful 1st place run. She earned her first her first excellent jumpers with weaves leg on February 14, 2010. On March 28, 2010, Glider had a beautiful jumpers run earning her excellent jumpers with weaves title with a 1st place finish. She earned her first MXJ leg and first MACH points with a beautiful jumpers run and won 3rd place (14 points) on May 8, 2010. Glider earned her MXJ title on Friday, January 28, 2011 with a beautiful run on a very fun course. She now has 576 MACH points. Glider earned her first double Q on Sunday, May 29, 2011 in Cheswick, PA. Her runs were awesome. We now have 3 double Qs. Glider earned her Novice Standard title on November 28, 2009 with a beautiful first place run. Glider earned two open standard legs on February 6th and 7, 2010. She earned her open standard title on February 13, 2010. Glider earned her excellent standard (AX) title on August 14, 2010 with a beautiful and fast run. Glider earned her first MX leg on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Wilmington KC show. I would love to say it was a smooth run but hey, we qualified. Glider earned her 2nd MX leg on Sunday, May 29, 2011. Glider finished her MX title on November 20, 2011 at the Mountaineer agility trial. It was a really challenging course but she handled it beautifully. Glider earned her novice FAST title on February 20, 2010. Glider earned her first Open Fast leg at the 2010 IWS national specialty with 1st place run. She earned her 2nd and 3rd Open Fast legs at the Oriole dog training club trial on May 8th and 9th, 2010. Glider earned her excellent Fast (XF) title on September 5, 2010 with a very challenging send. Glider earned her master FAST title (MXF) on September 17, 2011 with a beautiful Fast run. Glider was the top Open agility IWS for 2010 and top Excellent A agility IWS for 2010. Glider finished 2011 as the #5 IWS. I don't video tape my runs often but I did purchase taped runs at the Oriole trial December 9-11, 2011. Here are Glider's runs. On Friday, 12/9 she took 3rd place in JWW. She had two "almost" runs on Sunday but they were a blast. Glider - Standard December 10 2011 |
