She is not only pretty but she is also very talented with titles in obedience and rally and legs in agility. You can read more information about Megan and see many pictures of her by going to Megan's page. Marley is a super sweet boy with a fabulous temperament. He was bred in England and lives in Ireland. He is an Irish show champion and he has done very well in the breed ring with multiple best of breed and group placements. He caught my eye when I saw him at Crufts in March 2009. He is a beautiful boy with tons of coat, beautiful head and great movement. He is a moderate size, compact with nice rib spring and good chest. He has nice length of neck and nice tail set. Marley's pedigree. The Story of The Seman Adventure: I have to share the story of the semen adventure and how I came up with the theme, global travel, for this litter. Marley is in Ireland so a natural breeding was impossible. I have been working with his owners since the fall to arrange to have frozen shipped over. Well, Megan came into season a couple of months earlier then we expected and I didn't have the semen yet. So I immediately contacted Marley's owners. They got an appointment to have him collected on a Thursday (3/4) and it was to be at my vet's office on Monday (3/8). That was perfect as the weekend the semen was being shipped, I drove down to South Carolina to meet Megan's owner (Lonnie) half way to get her and her first progesterone test was on Monday (3/8). I could track the shipment via the web and I thought it was strange that it was going through Africa to get to the US. Well, unfortunately DHL misread the airport code and instead of coming to Washington DC (DCA) it went to Lagos, Africa (DLA). So on Monday (3/8), the semen was sitting in Africa after going through UK, Brussels, Nigeria and a couple of other countries in Africa. After Megan's first progesterone test on Monday, I thought she would be ready to bred on Thursday (3/11) so now the question was if we would get it on time. It finally started heading back to the US going back through Nigeria, Brussels, Germany, UK and then to Cleveland. On Wednesday (3/10) we did another progesterone test and luckily Megan didn't progress as fast as we thought. It looked like the timing for the breeding would be closer to Sunday, March 14. Now the question would be if we would get the semen to the U.S. and through customs on time and if it would be any good. We finally got the semen on Thursday (3/11) and the container was still charged so it was still frozen. We did the AI on Sunday. So when the breeding was successful, I just figured it had to be a global travel theme.
