Casey, born on August 14, 2002, is owned by Bob and Lonnie Sparkes and co-owned by Marian McLeod. He is a beautiful boy who is very sweet and has a fabulous temperament. He loves to roll on his back and have his tummy rubbed. One of the things that also attracted me to Casey was his drive and working ability. He has his CD (first level obedience title) in both Canada and the United States and his Rally Advance title. He is also earned his JH (junior hunter) in just a couple of short months. He is also training in agility. He is a smart dog and he is very birdy, loves to retrieve and has nice drive. However, he is not edgy or over-the-top which is a great asset.
Casey has done very well in the breed ring. He won Winner's Dog at the IWSCA National Specialty in 2003 at 9 months old and won Winner's Dog at the IWSAC National Specialty in 2003 at 10 months old. He won IWSCA Top Winners Dog for 2003. He took Best of Breed and Group 4 at the IWSAC Booster in November 2004. Casey carries a great coat of abundant, tight curls. He is very flashy as he is animated and loves to show off. He is well balanced, has very nice structure, nice movement and a great tail set and carriage. He has a gorgeous head and nice length of neck.
Casey is also very healthy. He has OFA Excellent hips, Normal Elbows, and his eyes are normal CERF.
I've been very happy with this breeding. Both have fabulous temperaments, are healthy and love to retrieve and work. I believe their conformation have been very complementary.
