Scout's litter was bred by Betty Wathne (Madcap Irish Water Spaniels) and co-bred by Susan Tapp (Castlehill Irish Water Spaniels), both of which have been in the breed for many years.  The theme of the litter was heart (Betty has just moved to her farm, Heartease) and I came up with her registered name because Scout quickly found her way into my heart.

Scout is sweet, outgoing, confident, and always happy.  She loves to meet people, dogs and she loves everyone.  She especially loves children and can spot them in any crowd.  She always wants to be with me, follows me everywhere I go in the house, and is happiest when we are doing something.  She is very biddable, trainable and intelligent.  She loves to do any performance event, loves the water, and is ready to go any time I ask.  However, Scout can also relax in the house and be very calm and snuggly.  She gives everything her all and loves to learn.  She loves going to national specialties as there is something to do different every day.  But most importantly, she is my companion.  She is constantly by my side.  She cheers me up after a long day at work and is the best snuggle dog.  I'll never be cold with her around.  She is very fond of her cats (we have two that live with us) and it is her job to clean their ears.

Scout is OFA Hip Excellent, OFA Elbow normal, OFA Thyroid normal and CERF.

Scout has many performance titles in obedience, agility and rally.  She also has her IWSCA working certificate and her junior hunter title.  At 10 years old, she is still going strong and still competing in agility (earning her MACH in July 2009, PACH3 in July 2011, and PACH4 December 31, 2011).  She loves to work and I always have fun with her. 

I bred Scout to Casey (Am/Can Ch Catwalk's Special Case CD RA JH) and she produced 7 pups, 6 girls and 1 boy on April 11, 2006.  I am very pleased with the litter Scout produced in terms of temperament, breed type, and working abilities.  I kept the one boy and his name is Clark.  He is incredibly sweet, outgoing and he loves to train.  He was the first in the litter to earn his breed championship just after turning 2 years old.  I bred Scout to "Tyler" in January, 2008, and on March 30th, we had 5 boys and 4 girls.  I kept the pink girl out of this litter and her name is Glider.  She has a real intensity for training and she is a blast to train.  I love her spirit.  Please see the "Puppies & Litters" tab for lots of pictures of the pups from both litters from the day they were born to the time they went home.  You will find current information and pictures of the dogs in the "Dogs of Cuardach" tab. I am very proud of Scout's puppies from both of her litters whether they be show dogs, performance dogs or fabulous companions for their families.  Scout now has 3 champion get which makes her an IWSCA top producing bitch.
